CFNEIA Welcomes Laurie Everhardt as Director of Development
November 24, 2020
The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa is excited to welcome Laurie Everhardt to its staff as the Director of Development. Laurie’s focus is on connecting generous people to the causes they care about most, in turn increasing the community impact of the Foundation and growing its philanthropic assets. Her experience with nonprofits in the Cedar Valley gives her knowledge of community needs and helps identify opportunities for generous people. Laurie will primarily work with fundholders and donors in Black Hawk, Bremer, and Grundy counties, and the Ackley community.
“I am thrilled to join the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa team,” says Laurie. “Helping people connect to organizations matching their charitable interests and creating such powerful impacts with our nonprofit partners is truly exciting. Being part of enriching our community is an honor, and I look forward to serving those who share this passion.”
Laurie joins CFNEIA after seven years at Wartburg College in various development positions, most recently serving as a major gift officer with the college. She holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education (American Government and History) from Wartburg College.
Laurie lives in Waverly with her husband, Rich. She has two sons, Luke who is in his fourth year at Wartburg College, and Adam, a first-year student at Iowa State University. Some of Laurie’s joys include reading, piano, running, family 500 tournaments, and a good Netflix binge!
