Grantmaking Snapshot: Gym Floor Transformation

The Lake Mills Community Preschool and Daycare received a grant from the Winnebago County Community Foundation to assist in the replacement of its gym floor. The former floor was filled with holes, cracks and uneven paint, making it unsafe for children to utilize. The refinished area provides a safe, large space for children to play and develop their gross motor skills, particularly when Iowa weather makes it difficult to be outside. The value and opportunities of this new gym will benefit children in the Lake Mills community for many years to come.
