CFNEIA Joins Nationwide Celebration Recognizing Impact of Local Community Foundations
November 12, 2019
The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (CFNEIA) is celebrating Community Foundation Week, November 12-18, to recognize the important role foundations play in the community. Community Foundations Week was created in 1989 by former President George H.W. Bush to recognize the impact of foundations throughout America and their collaborative approach to working with the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
CFNEIA is proud to be the lead Foundation for our 24 affiliate partners and is honored to work with over 300 volunteers to help them strengthen their local communities and our entire region. Since we were founded in 1956, we’ve provided grants to our communities in excess of $95 million. In 2018 alone, more than $6 million in grants were allocated to help fulfill our vision of creating a vibrant region of thriving people.

The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa connects inspired people to the causes they care about most while enriching communities through grantmaking and providing leadership as a convener and collaborator for positive community change. That's a lot to take in, but in short, we are here for good. Let us help you make a difference in your local community.
