New Team Members Strengthen Efforts

Niki Litzel, Director of Development
Niki Litzel comes to CFNEIA from the Grout Museum District in Waterloo, Iowa where she served as Director of Development. Her role involved building relationships with donors and volunteers to advance the mission of the Grout Museum District. Niki’s past employment also includes serving as the Community Resources Coordinator with The Salvation Army of Waterloo/Cedar Falls and Development Manager for the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. She also currently serves on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Northeast Iowa Chapter.
As the Director of Development for CFNEIA, Niki’s focus is to connect donors to the philanthropic causes they care about most, in turn increasing the community impact of the Foundation and growing its philanthropic assets. Niki’s experience working with nonprofits in our region gives her vast knowledge of community needs and the opportunities for generous people. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism Mass Communication from Iowa State University.
Niki lives in Waterloo with her husband, two kids and their dog Zeus. She loves to call the Cedar Valley home. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and attending the many events the Cedar Valley has to offer. Her favorite quote by Maya Angelou: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Jenna Flugum, Marketing and Communications Manager
Jenna Flugum comes to CFNEIA from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma where she served as Director of Affinity and Annual Giving. Her role involved overseeing the University’s annual giving program including communications. Jenna has also served as the Director of Admissions and Marketing at Columbia Independent School in Columbia, Missouri.
As Marketing and Communications Manager at CFNEIA, Jenna will be working with our affiliate partners to increase awareness across our region and will be primarily responsible for CFNEIA’s digital platforms. Jenna is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from the University of Northern Iowa.
Jenna and her husband, Ryan, live in Cedar Falls with their two boys, Beckett and Crosby. She is a dog-lover who enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, and reading. Volunteering for causes that are important to her, education and youth mentorship, is also something Jenna is passionate about and looks forward to doing in the Cedar Valley.
