Franklin County Community Foundation Distributes $99,585 to Local Nonprofit Organizations

The Franklin County Community Foundation (FCCF) has granted $99,585 to 21 projects of organizations serving Franklin County through its 2021 grant cycle.
“The Franklin County Community Foundation is proud to support these worthwhile projects of nonprofit organizations working to improve communities across Franklin County,” said Michelle Sackville, chair of the FCCF governing committee.

Arts & Culture
- Windsor Theatre Development Corporation, Website Update and Operations Fund Relief, $5,000
Community Betterment
- City of Alexander, Library - Landscape Overhaul, $3,600
- City of Coulter, Highway 3 Sign Restoration Project, $3,700
- City of Coulter, Park Board - Shelter House Project, $1,230

- Dows Rural Fire Association, Fire Department - Fireman Gear Dryer, $3,555

Decisions on grant awards are determined by a local committee, which consists of volunteers from Franklin County. Committee members include: Karen Bruns, Dennis Carlson, Ted Hughes, Aimee Lenth, Kayla Norman, Anne Plagge, Nicole Poock, Eric Reicherts, Jamie Reinke and Michelle Sackville (chair).
Grants are awarded through FCCF’s competitive grant process to projects in the program areas of: arts and culture, community betterment, education and youth development, environment and animal welfare, health and human service. Grant applicants must be a 501(c)(3) designated organization or government entity serving Franklin County in order to be considered for funding. The 2022 grant cycle opens December 1 with an application deadline of January 15, 2022. The grant guidelines and application can be found at www.franklinccf.org.
