October 31 Deadline to Match Donations to Fayette County COVID-19 Disaster Response Fund

The Fayette County COVID-19 Disaster Response Fund, a fund of the Fayette County Community Foundation, has $3,606 in matching funds left to reach its $10,000 match goal. Gifts to the fund support organizations providing basic needs services for individuals and families who have been disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Gifts made by October 31 to the Fayette County COVID-19 Disaster Response Fund will be matched dollar for dollar up to the remaining $3,606 in matching funds available. The $10,000 matching gift opportunity was made possible by the Robert and Ruth Walker Charitable Trust.
Gifts can be made to the Fayette County COVID-19 Disaster Response Fund by going to cfneia.org/fayettecovidfund and clicking on the “Give Today” button. Gifts can also be directed to the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, 3117 Greenhill Circle, Cedar Falls, IA 50613. Checks should be made out to Fayette County COVID-19 Disaster Response Fund. Online gifts are strongly encouraged to have funds accessible for quick response to needs.
Grants totaling $48,622.75 have been awarded from the Fayette County COVID-19 Disaster Response Fund. The organizations who received the grants include Fayette County, Fayette County Food Shelf, Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital and Clinics, North Fayette Valley Ministerial Association, Northeast Iowa Community Action and Oelwein Area Council of Churches.
