Chickasaw County Community Foundation Distributes Over $100,000 to Local Nonprofit Organizations

The Chickasaw County Community Foundation (CCCF) has granted $100,218.41 to 29 projects of organizations serving Chickasaw County through its 2021 grant cycle.
“On behalf of the Chickasaw County Community Foundation I would like to congratulate all the fantastic nonprofit organizations as they work hard at enhancing the already vibrant and prosperous Chickasaw County area. We are extremely pleased to award grant money to so many generous and viable organizations in their efforts to enhance where we live, work and play,” said Kelly O’Donnell, chair of the CCCF governing committee.

Decisions on grant awards are determined by a local committee, which consists of volunteers from Chickasaw County. Committee members include: Kathy Ball, Kim Berns, John Cuvelier, Rhonda Dean, Tara Hackman, Michelle Hoy, Emily Kleiss, Courtney Lechtenberg, Dana Lentz, Bill Meyer, Rich Miller, Kristen Nosbisch, Kelly O'Donnell (chair).
Grants are awarded through CCCF’s competitive grant process to projects in the program areas of: arts and culture, community betterment, education and youth development, environment and animal welfare, health and human service. Grant applicants must be a 501(c)(3) designated organization or government entity serving Chickasaw County in order to be considered for funding. The 2022 grant cycle opens October 1 with an application deadline of December 31. The grant guidelines and application can be found at www.chickasawccf.org.
