Joy and Rod Thorson established their donor advised fund with CFNEIA to be able to make grants to charitable causes important to them. Joy and Rod are passionate about supporting organizations focused on food insecurity and people with medical and/or special needs. They also support organizations outside of Iowa that focus on social, medical, and educational insecurities.

Through their fund, the Thorsons are able to see the impacts of their fund now, while also knowing they will make a difference in the future.

Your gift to the Joy and Rod Thorson Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa allows recommendations for grants to be made each year to support charitable causes that carry out the mission of the Community Foundation.

Gifts to the fund may be eligible for the Endow Iowa 25% state tax credit. This tax incentive is only available to Iowa residents.
