Scholarship Criteria

One-year scholarships for students graduating from Pocahontas High School in Pocahontas, Iowa, that will be attending an accredited college or university and that demonstrate the ability to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. Qualified applicants must also demonstrate a great work ethic in the classroom and in extra curricular activities, a positive attitude and outlook, a strong faith, an outgoing personality with a willingness to help others, and involvement in extra curricular sports.

Give to the Fund

Financial gifts to the Aaron Wernimont Scholarship Fund with the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
