Scholarship Criteria

One-year scholarships for graduates of Aplington-Parkersburg High School who are heading into their junior or senior year of post-secondary education in the state of Iowa. Students must be pursuing a degree in education or business, have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and demonstrate strong moral character and exemplify volunteerism and leadership. Give to the Fund

Financial gifts to the Dale and Norma Hassman Family Fund with the Butler County Community Foundation allows the Community Foundation to award financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. As the cost of tuition continues to rise, it is more important now than ever to diminish the barrier of affordability and allow students to focus on what is most important - their education.
